A United Democratic Alliance Aspirant (UDA) aspirant in Sambirir Ward, Elgeyo Marakwet Mark Sawachan has died in a grisly road accident.

In a statement on his social media platforms, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen announced the death of the aspirant saying his family was distraught following the sudden demise.

 "It’s with a profound shock that I received the news of the death of my friend Mark Bowen Sawachan. Mark was our UDA MCA nominee for Sambirir Ward, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

I joined his wife, family and friends this evening at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where we confirmed the terrible news. His family is distraught and we are all devastated," the senator said

 Many Kenyans also took to social media to mourn Sawachan regretting that his death had occurred just when his political career was taking off.

"My heartfelt condolences to the family and the people of Sawachan and Elgeyo Marakwet. May his soul rest in peace," one Kenyan said.
