Direct export of Kenyan coffee through the Kipkelion Coffee Mill Union cooperatives, Governor Dr.Mutai announces.
Governor Kericho Dr. Mutai Erick has recently made significant moves to support the direct export of Kenyan coffee through the Kipkelion Coffee Mill Union cooperatives. This initiative, discussed during a meeting with Swedish partner Jonas Scherp from Business-Swedish East Africa, aims to enhance the economic prospects of local coffee farmers and promote sustainable trade practices.
In addition to focusing on the direct export of coffee, Governor Dr.Mutai has also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with international entities such as the city of Vestearas in Sweden. Discussions with Mr. Scherp included plans to solidify the existing Municipality partnership between Kericho Municipalities and Vestearas, particularly in areas such as solid waste management and solar technology. By fostering collaboration between technical institutions in Vestearas and vocational training centers in Kericho, the aim is to enhance skills development and promote the production of small solar lighting devices.
These strategic partnerships not only benefit the local economy but also contribute to the overall development of the region. By engaging with partners who share a commitment to sustainable practices and community development, Governor Erick is paving the way for a brighter future for the people of Kericho.
Moving forward, Governor Mutai will continue to seek out opportunities for collaboration with like-minded individuals and organizations. By leveraging the expertise and resources of international partners, he is demonstrating a commitment to fostering growth and prosperity in the region. Through these efforts, Governor Dr.Mutai is not only supporting the local economy but also building bridges with global partners for the mutual benefit of all involved.
