The News of his Death has Been Met with Shock and Sadness by All Who Knew Him: Sergent Edward Chepkwony
It is with a heavy heart that the Chepkwony's family announces the passing of Sergeant Edward Kibet Chepkwony. A dedicated soldier, Ssgt Chepkwony battled a liver disease for over a year before succumbing to his illness. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community at large.
Ssgt Chepkwony fell ill during a promotional training at Kiganjo Police Training College and was transferred to various hospitals for treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he tragically passed away at Reale Hospital Eldoret. His commitment to his duty as a soldier and his resilience in the face of illness will always be remembered.
In this time of mourning, the Chepkwony's family is grateful for the outpouring of support and condolences from all who knew Ssgt Chepkwony. A fundraising event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, to help support the family during this difficult time. The send-off ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at his home in Chemagaldit Village, Kapsaos Ward, Ainamoi Constituency, Kericho County.
