Chebanyiny, Bomet Suspects to Remain in Custody for 14days while DCI Finalize their Interrogations.

Seven suspects linked to a gang-rape incident in Bomet have appeared in court and have been detained for 14 days awaiting charges. The suspects were arrested on Thursday and taken to Bomet Police Station after a video recorded in incident that took place on December went viral on social media.

The Bomet Law Courts Resident Magistrate, Mbeti Michuki, granted the police permission to detain the suspects following a request by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for more time to complete their investigations. The suspects will remain in custody for two weeks while the police finalize their interrogations.
