Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recently returned from Kigali, Rwanda, where he represented President William Ruto at the 30th Anniversary of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, known as Kwibuka 30. During his visit, Gachagua highlighted the strong partnership between Kenya and Rwanda, emphasizing the shared destiny of the two nations.

Reflecting on the progress made by Rwanda over the past three decades, Gachagua commended President Paul Kagame's leadership in transforming the country into one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa and the world. He attributed Rwanda's success to the hard work and determination of its people, who have been focused on rebuilding their nation.

As Rwanda marks 30 years since the genocide, Gachagua, on behalf of President Ruto and the people of Kenya, congratulated President Kagame and the Rwandan people on their achievements. He described Rwanda as a shining example of Africa's potential for growth and development, symbolizing the continent's resurgence.

Gachagua expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the Kwibuka 30 National Remembrance Ceremony at the BK Arena in Kigali.
