Former President Mwai Kibaki's Grandson Sean Andrew Removes Finger Ring, Puts it in Grandfather's Grave
Kibaki's final journey
A hearse carrying Kibaki’s body travelled by road from Nairobi and was met by huge crowds who paid their last respects.
Upon arrival at his hometown, the coffin was transferred to a military gun carriage.
The service, attended by thousands of Kenyans led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, was presided over by the military and Catholic church. After the service, a private ceremony was held at his home. Military officers lowered Kibaki’s casket into the ground before the priests threw soil on it.
Next came the family, led by his son Jimmy. Next, Kibaki’s children, brother and grandchildren took turns dumping soil on top of his casket.
Andrew's last gesture
However, when Sean Andrew’s turn came, the grief-stricken young man did something different.
Andrew, a model, took a spade from a military officer, pored the soil into the grave and handed it back to the soldier. But before leaving the gravesite, Andrew removed a ring from his finger and put it into the grave. He sombrely walked away as other family members continued with the ceremony.
Kibaki grandsons drive women crazy.
In other news, Mteule Foundations reported that while many Kenyans focused on mourning Kibaki, some ladies had their eyes focused elsewhere.

Photo of Kibaki’s grandsons walking behind his casket surfaced online, and many women openly expressed interest in them. One image depicted Andrew walking alongside his brother while looking dapper in black suits. Another showed Andrew’s cousins walking behind them in matching outfits. “If they look this good at a funeral, what if you met them when they are happy? Let me leave it there,” one lady commented. “Those grandkids can have it any day, anywhere, and however they want it,” another added.
